Dustcontrol works according to the Healthy Business concept and takes a comprehensive approach to sustainability all the way through the supply chain. Dustcontrol develops and sells products and specially adapted solutions that create a cleaner working environment by absorbing dust and other pollutants that arise during various types of manufacturing or work. The main products are mobile dust collectors and stationary central vacuum systems.
– When dust, particles and vapors are captured already at the source, not only is a healthy working environment created. It also contributes to more efficient processes with reduced need for cleaning, reduced machine wear and higher product quality, says Fredrik Wangler, Global Sales Manager Industry at Dustcontrol.
This applies in many industries, such as workshops, food and pharmaceuticals, where unwanted residual products are created during production.
The main products Dustcontrol provides are mobile dust extractors, pre-separators, air cleaners, stationary central vacuum systems and accessoires.
Dustcontrol contributes to healthier employees
Dustcontrol started fifty years ago after the founders came up with a solution to extract silica dust in connection with drilling without having the equipment getting in the way of the worker.
– This was a prerequisite for being able to work efficiently without risking silicosis, COPD or lung cancer. Based on the same basic idea, to remove the dangerous dust at the source, we have continued to build machines and systems to solve dust problems in several industries, says Fredrik Wangler.
Today, the commitment to sustainability extends far down the supplier and production chain. The machines are constantly being improved in terms of performance and energy consumption. For example, demand control has been implemented on most machines so that they do not idle.
Dustcontrol customized solutions
By customizing the suction casings, the nozzles that extract in the dust at the source, energy consumption is greatly reduced.
– As a significantly smaller amount of air is needs to be extracted. This leads to a smaller amount of air that must be compensated and heated via the ventilation system. Here, Dustcontrol is unique with a large range of adapted suction casing as well as the possibility to tailor them for different machines, he says.
Over the years, Dustcontrol has been able to help many companies improve their operations, not least regarding sustainability.
“We have built solutions to reduce the amount of toxic cobalt in the blood of workers in the tool industry. We have enabled bakers to continue with their business despite the fact that, after previously working without an extraction system, they became allergic to flour dust, concludes Fredrik Wangler.”
